Kenting Coffee & Dessert Recommendations – B&S F Family Chen Coffee
Our team at Wandering Walls is spoiled by our own house-roasted specialty coffee. So, when our butlers excitedly told Gavin about a "serious" new coffee spot in Hengchun town, we knew it was a big deal. Unlike trendy "Instagram-famous" spots that prioritize decor over substance, we prefer artisan shops dedicated to quality. While you can get coffee anywhere, finding a place in Hengchun that shares our obsession with quality is rare—and B&S Coffee is exactly that kind of gem.
Parking Information
B&S Coffee is located opposite the Hengchun Post Office in the town center, surrounded mostly by residential housing. There is no private parking lot. On regular days, you can usually find street parking in the nearby alleys. Alternatively, we suggest parking at the Hengchun Farmers' Association Parking Lot, which is just a 3-minute walk away.
The Space & Atmosphere
The name "B&S" stands for Brother & Sister. The brother pours his soul into the coffee, while the sister crafts the desserts. This multi-story townhouse opened its doors in October 2024. The first floor features a bar and high tables (seating about 6), offering a front-row seat to watch the owner’s hand-drip technique. The second floor offers table seating for about 8 people, perfect for small groups.
The interior is minimalist with a retro touch. The large wooden bar counter, paired with shelves of professional brewing gear, creates a warm, grounded texture. It’s a space free of noise, filled only with the warmth of Hengchun and the focused air of true craftsmanship.
Coffee & Desserts
Before opening this shop, the owner built a loyal following selling pour-over coffee across from "Aga's House." We highly recommend his Specialty Pour-over Coffee. If you're unsure which bean to choose, just describe your preference (fruity, floral, or full-bodied) and let him recommend one. Their Ice Drip Coffee is also rich in flavor and perfect for a hot Hengchun afternoon.
For sweets, staples include Brownie with Ice Cream, Basque Cheesecake, and Honey Cake. The owner’s sister also surprises guests with seasonal treats. Our absolute favorite is the Pavlova—a meringue-based dessert topped with fresh fruit, cream, and lemon zest. Crispy on the outside, soft inside, with a perfect balance of sweet and tart.

Looking for a great cup of coffee in Kenting? Aside from Wandering Walls, B&S Coffee is our top pick. They may not have an ocean view, but they have an uncompromising dedication to coffee. Chatting with the owner, we learned he spends his spare time hand-picking beans to remove even the slightest defects to ensure pure flavor—a level of detail that moved us.
As fellow roasters and brewers, we felt a strong connection here. It’s a joy to meet artisans in Hengchun who share our frequency. Highly recommended!
